He started Taekwondo under late Master Mohanathas of Malaysia in 1977 who helped shape his foray in Taekwondo and got his 1st Degree Black belt in 1985. Since then he has been actively involved in the Art & has made substantial progress not only in acquiring more & more skills, but also diversifying in various Martial Arts forms. His quest to learn more style of various martial Arts led him to take weapons training and achieve Black belt in Dynamic Jujutsu from Dynamic Grandmaster S.K. Murthy former Indian Army Taekwondo Coach
He also served as Vice President of Karnataka Taekwondo Association led by Master M.S. Chandrashekar
